The short of it is, no blackberry data service, then no blackberry data service (no blackberry email, no blackberry browser....). And if no data service, then no data service. You will not be able to get what your carrier does not provide.

You are certain your carrier does not support GPRS? If it does and you can use wap gateway, then I think you have some data capability. Someone else will have to advise you on that. If you do in fact have GPRS, do some searching on using blackberry without a blackberry data plan and you may find some helpful information.
