Have your BES admin adjust the settings in your IT Policy and re-send the policy to your handheld. 60 minutes is the maximum for this setting.

Yes. Removing the IT Policy will break the BES connection and the device will need to have a new Enterprise Activation run to restore the connection. (At which time, the IT Policy will be put back in place.)
