I just bought an 8900 (for $699 o E-Bay), expecting it will support UMA.
Oh wait ... my wife's older, AT&T branded 8300 works on UMA on T-Mobile, so, I assume a Rogers one will as well.

Please report back on the device you bought off ebay. As for your wife;s 8300 are you sure you got the letters UMA on the device when it was in range of your WiFi router?
