Just wanted to put my input.
Like many others my WIFI/UMA kept going in and out less than a foot from my router. I called Tmobile , they give me the whole blah blah blah so basically they couldn't help me. So I read this forum.
and did this.
1. Wiped device and restored certain files from my ATT 8300
didn't work
2. Changed the router channel to 1
no good
3. Changed to 11
no good
4. Finally decided to check the routers firmware and found that was out dated. So I updated the firmware
VIOLA!!! Got constant WiFi/UMA service!!!!
