Unless you were on wi-fi and didnt know it, it couldnt have been hotspot browser.

Only way to tell is if you get online billing, look at it and see if you have been charged.

Back to the original point, you can't delete the WAP browser, however Options - Advanced - Browser - Browser Config - Top option set to Internet Browser; it will use BIS or wi-fi depending on the current connection. But won't use WAP.
