Actually, I did the update directly from the Blackberry website. I got an email from RIM indicating that an updated is available. If you go to
BlackBerry - Update your Device Software (IE and FIREFOX) you can click on update,which will launch your DM to update your device. In addition, I was told by a RIM tech support person that the best version of DM is 5.0.1
