Can you check your GPS if you are having the same problem, thanks.
I received this question, since i was unable to answer it i decided it would be best to post it here so CBR can get more feedback .. hope this helps.

CBR: I have used OS 4.2 / 4.5.0.10 and .18 and i never had problems with BBmaps - it always communicated fine with the internal GPS (also 8310 like you) and was very accurate and relatively fast. Since your GPS is working and Gmaps can also acquire sats I would recommend that you first uninstall BBmaps from your device, then reboot and then reinstall it from:

http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft...y.do?code=maps

from your cell's browser.

Finally, i believe that BBmaps comes as part of the 4.5.0.10 that you downloaded and installed. Could that installation file have a problem?
Is all else fails .. just try to download another copy of that OS and reinstall it. Then wipe and install again ..

That's all i can think off right now.
