I had an old Icon display from Blackberry.com that showed the error but it no longer is on their site.
I searched This forum and found the C-S2 battery was reported as NOT compatible with the 8220.

what I did find is a few people trying to use the C-S2 battery and not reporting the error you see so my guess is they are ether ignoring it or have older or newer OS loaded and do not get the error.
You need the right battery to stop the error display
C-S2 3.7v 1150mAh
C-M2 3.7v 900mah
Not sure what documentation you need but Amazon does show the 8220 OEM battery as the C-M2
The cost for a new battery is about $4.00
A bigger issue may be the LI battery. A lot of news lately about them burning or exploding. The reported cause may be the chargers overworking the battery. You need to be careful with this.
Sorry but it may be your only fix.
