Hi,
Recently I have purchased the unlocked blackberry 8830 world edition from Wal-Mart-USA in order to use it in India (GSM 900/1800) and they supplied the Verizon wireless balckberry8830 phone.

But I have tried most of the GSM providers in India. But, it is not working in any of the GSM providers in India. It showed “Invalid SIM card”.

I went, to Options/Advanced Options/SIM Card typed mepd. In the resulting list showed the SIM position is active. So it is locked.
In the Wal-Mart web site they are selling unlocked version of BB8830, but they supplied locked version.

Can anyone help me to rectify this problem and make this device to work in Indian GSM.
