Default Can't get Link to connect to Blackberry Classic/Q20 (Windows 7)

I'm out of ideas on what to do here.

Blackberry Classic (Q20), running Blackberry 10. Computer is Windows 7.

Blackberry Link continues to say the device is not connected, despite the fact that Blend can access the phone. Even when the phone is on Airplane mode only connected with the USB cable, Blend can still access everything on the phone from the computer.

However Link still says the device is disconnected.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, same with the drivers, even downloaded the drivers directly. Device manager shows no problems with the Blackberry drivers. The phone itself even says it's connected to the computer. I've tried restoring it to complete factory settings, still nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get Link to recognize the phone being connected?

Worst case scenario, are there any simple ways to back up phone data without using Link? Obviously having Link working is the priority, but at least knowing there are other methods to keep data/settings saved would be nice.

Thanks in advance!
