you cant, you would need the same hardware all over the country to actually test speeds, ppl saying they get 300Kbps in an office building with 3 feet of concrete is lol.

if they want to compare the speeds, take 1 device, and use it on all networks, so devices are factored out of the equation. since they have alot also to do with speed.

for ex: iphone 3g does not work in my elevator, curve works, samsung eternity works. 3g device, edge device and a hsdpa(3g+) device. so you think through put would also be a variation?

devices are all made different and with that, besides weather/location/congestion getting a real speed test is a joke.

i still agree with Dubdub. and the poll is just bs.
