Hi all, my first post. Had been having a problem and now have it solved. As I couldn't find my answer online I thought I would post my solution on here for anyone who might need it.
Problem - phone connected to Vodafone UK 4G network, super quick and very happy. However, after creating a hotspot and successfully connecting my iPad to to my Z10 the internet doesn't work - although the two devices are connected to each other the internet fails to route through to my iPad. Contacted help desk and they suggested getting the internet settings by texting "WEB" to 40127 - settings never arrived.
Solution - I used google to find correct settings for internet - Settings, Network and Connections, Mobile Network, APN (cog at bottom of screen): APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk, username: wap, password:wap, authentication type: PAP
(Note mobile plan is contract).
Turns out that my settings were already correct, however, it seemed to need them entering again, so I made up an APN "vodafoneinternet" which threw up an error but seemed to reset the internet connection settings. When I re-entered the details above it all kicked into life and worked!
Very happy as I managed to sign up for 2gb plan/tariff with a further 4gb added for free per month. Now I can use it on my iPad
