I was recently in a meeting where I specifically asked about a new Nextel BlackBerry. The answer was what I have been saying for a long time. There is no new Nextel BlackBerry planned. It was predicted that a Sprint BlackBerry with Nextel Direct Connect might happen in the future, but no time frame was given.

There is no doubt that Nextel Direct Connect is by far the best option around. Too bad that they are now 2-3 generations behind in the BlackBerry department.
