Well if this is where you want it switched off, just hook up the BB to the PC (it will charge it too!!) and you can set the device to not forward mail when cradled. If you go into BES, select the device, go to properties, then redirection...you should be given the option "disable message redirection to handheld while in cradle" tick that and I think it should work.
so then, all you need to do, is plug in the USB to the device while at your desk, and emails will stop being sent. easy.
