Sorta correct. AT&T and most of the Canadian and European carriers share the same 3G bands, TmobileUSA does not.

If you have WiFi in most of the places you use the device (home and office) you may rarely miss the 3G. But if you travel a lot or drive about town a lot, you will definately miss 3G.
