That may very well be true, and I couldn't argue that since I don't travel to NYC, NC, or CT on a regular basis. But there is life outside of those areas, believe it or not.
AT&T used to be fair where I live (just outside Atlanta), but I now (as of a few years ago) have great 3G coverage everywhere I go, and recent 3G SpeedTest results from my phone clocked in at 1.45 Mbps, 1.63 Mbps, and 2.38 Mbps. Not too shabby in my opinion.
Verizon, on the other hand, isn't so good where I regularly travel. T-Mobile is also not too hot, and Sprint is only just bearable. I don't take that to mean that these other carriers "suck." I just take that to mean that they won't be able to service my needs in the locations I frequent.
