Like I said man, I got a Storm as well and it works fine on it. I guess it is a Verizon issue that the GPS is not enabled for 3rd party apps. From what I heard from others is: a developer can join the Verizon developer program, pay money ... and then they can get access to GPS on Verizon BB devices.
Btw, TE does NOT automatically jump to the current position. Once a GPS position fix is received you need to click the trackball (or the screen on Storm) in order to jump to the current GPS position on the map
