I've currently got both, and am using the 8900. I plan on selling one, but I'm just not sure which. Using the full QWERTY on the 8900, has made me want to go back to the Flip, but as you noted, the 8900 is the faster device (great looking display too). I'll probably have to go back and forth again, and see what works better for me. I'm one of those (in the minority it seems) that wishes RIM had left predictive text on the full QWERTY devices.
