With the Americans trigger happy with lawsuits, I can probably tell you why it hasn't launched in the US yet.
B U G G Y. Yup, it is buggy. RIM would be swamped with class action stuff a la Apple if the 3G connection sucks like it does now. At least in Malaysia, anyway. But I did test the same device in Singapore, ditto!
