Sorry guys this isn't a limitation of the theme it's how I designed it. I intentionaly separated the Emails from the SMS. If you haven't tried this, it's an awesome way to roll. Here is how to do it:
1. Go like you are going to ready your EMAILS. In this case click on MESSAGES on today screen.
2. Hit the MENU button and select OPTIONS
3. Go to GENERAL OPTIONS
4. Scroll down to SMS AND EMAIL
5. Set this to SEPARATE
