If you have the Freedom Keychain, try this: Turn on the puck, then WAIT till both orange and blue LEDs blink, THEN turn on Nav4All.
I agree that pressing the "menu" key (left of trackball) will bring you to home screen AND leave Nav4All running in the background. Then press the Nav4All icon to get back to it.
