other option: find someone with a playbook Blackberry Rapid Charging Stand, or buy one.
If your USB connector has a problem this might help, because the stand uses a different connector to charge...

Dont know, if this helps, because there are many reasons why this can happen (including a defective battery), but when I had this once, after a deep discharge, it helped to charge the PB for 5...
