I agree -- camera is slow and difficult to use. Sometimes it will take a picture right away, other times I cannot get it to take the shot even after the green box autofocus.

I got UMA "in the wild" for the first time the other day. I was outside a Borders, and the phone just connected to a HotSpot without having to do anything. Handoff was seamless back to EDGE.

Yes it does work. I have seen it work with a VPN Concentrator 3000. Look in the RIM knowledgebase for a doc called "WiFi Implementation Supplement".
