Disappearing contacts! WTH is this?

Over a thousand contacts just disappeared to be replaced by about 60 that seem to have come mostly from BBM!

Anyone have an idea what this is all about?

I just connected my Bold 9650 and it lists numerous applications and language options, such as Facebook, Googlechat(?) etc. etc.

When I connect my Style 9670 it lists exactly one application...

Why does BB send 5+GB of data *somewhere* when updating OS?

I'm updating my old BB flip 9670 from V.5 to V6. and I see it has uploaded over 5GB of data to some server somewhere!

So what parts of my data are being uploaded, why, and to where exactly!?

How to use ABC Amber BB Editor with V.7 desktop software?

The problem is ABC Amber editor needs the older .ipd backup file and the newer desktop software apparently saves contacts as a .bbb file. Changing the extension manually does nothing.

Thanks. The phone seems to still be set up on the previous owner's Telus account. Inserting my Rogers SIM card get an "Invalid SIM Card" message.

Got a great deal on a Verizon 9630. I notice on the back cover just below the latch it says "Qualcomm 3G CDMA".

Is this a CDMA only phone? I've read statements here that the 9630 is CDMA only...

Good info, thanks guys. I got the phone hardly used, in the box, but with a dead battery, so I don't know what use it had.

I'll get a new battery and see if that fixes the problem.

The battery on my 9630 (Verizon originally) seems to be dead. I get the X through the battery icon when I try to charge via USB or charger and it will not take a charge.
