I have a Mac Pro and my Bold doesn't seem to charge over USB. Is that typical? If not what could be the problem?

Is anyone else having this problem? Pocketsync doesnt doesnt seem to work using bluethooth connection. I tried it with a

VZW Pearl
ATT Bold

both do not work over bluetooth in the latest...
