dwp1975, you're right, it is definitely annoying. but it's something i learned to live with on my 7100i (Nextel) and now with my 8100 (Tmo). i've never seen anyone mention how to "fix" it.

my experience has shown that the following is common; for MMS/SMS to & from the following carriers, the delays are:

tmobile = 5-30 minutes
verizon = instantaneous (relatively)
att = 3-5 hours...
