Forget about this issue. I solved it. It had to do with the apps installed on handheld. It took up too much app space. deleted Some apps and now I get the messages.

After completing a restore on a 6750 that had the 4.0 OS just installed, no saved messages or messages are restored back to the unit. Addresses, Tasks, Calendar, and MemoPad entries are restored.
