ipod hardware wise cannot tether bluetooth for data, thats why you arent getting it working even tho you have the right apn...

I use Amaze and Google Maps on my 8310. All I pay for is the data plan through AT&T. Use of the app and use of my GPS are free. Amaze is a wonderful free voice by turn direction app.
