Sorry to disagree...but

Nothing in your code needs to be signed, and you don't need a data plan to use the gps functionality. I have working gps apps that I wrote on a 7520 with no service at all that work just fine.

I don't think there is anything in there that needs to be sign. There are some hardcoded settings for the backend server though, so I don't think someone else compiling it for you would help....

Google Maps battery drain

I think Google maps must be leaving the gps open in the background....

After installing gm 1.5.1, my battery life went down much quicker. Since removing gm, it has returned to normal.

You have to use JDE 4.1 w/8700. JDE 4.2.1 apps only work with 8800 & 8100. FYI-The component package allows using other JDE's beside RIM's JDE.
