Is this a corporate device? Or a personal one? If it's a corporate device, they may have just locked down the device with a standard Message on Lock Screen which you can't change.

Really, why did they do that? What's the benefit? Since its Lotus/Domino, what if they delete the state database for that user. Will that help?

If you know anyone with the same blackberry, ask if you can borrow their battery just to test to see if your battery is dead. If it charges, then just get a new battery.

If you delete a BBM message it wont show up read, as long as you haven't opened it up. All the D means is that your message got delivered to the intended device. That person can update their status,...
