Sorry for the delay. The hotel wifi people had to "more open" the connection for me. Apparently it is fairly common for them to have to do this for Blackberrys. Gave them my IP address and voila.

ok, so how does one go about doing that? My hotspot browser should, similarly to a laptop, take me to the sign on page offered by the hotel yet it won't acknowledge the connection. Using hotspot...
