You can use you 8830 via Bluetooth to connect and get online with your MAC. I do it with my MB. I had a BB tried a treo 700p and had to come back to the BB.

I have both a Treo 700p and a BB 8703e. The Treo is a Cool "gadget" IMO but it doesn't do anything well. The BB does what is was made to do better then anything else out that trys to emulate it...

Maybe not for you

BB's, IMO, are pointless without the data plan.

BB has no real storage and no expandability, unless you get the BB Peral.

No SMS without a data plan.....not 100% on this but I am pretty sure.

You can do forwarding to you nextel BWC client email. Then instead of waiting for BWC to poll your email accounts the mail is just forwarded to it. It is pretty much as fast as if your getting it...
