Mine also does this randomly and is a Mexico 4 unit. Funny enough, the repeat issue seemed to pop up after my exchange period ran out - how convenient. I still think a firmware update should be able...

I don't know if a future firmware update would allow to disable that feature otherwise we'll have to wait for themes to come out.

If you can sacrifice the bigger screen, go for it. I played with my friend's 9800 before, and still ended up going with the 9780.

I fixed this by unchecking "deleted items" in synchronization options under the email account management tab. I found that leaving messages on the server left me with duplicate copies of every email....
