old thread but very helpful ... you need to slide the card into the metal lock. Don't try to lay the card down and slide the lock over it. That won't work.

I have the T-Mobile version of the Curve and I have not been able to get my GPS to work.

I have gone to Options->Advanced Options->GPS and the only option is GPS DATA SOURCE. The value is None...
