That's the way it works. It's the same as with Desktop Manager. Is that the first time you initiated the bridge when the BlackBerry smartphone was locked?

Re whether secure GC enabled is related to the problem or not, my BlackBerry shows it and I don't have any trouble.

Do a search on forced upgrade, or debrick. The basics of the procedure is to connect the PlayBook to Desktop Manager, restart the PlayBook, and tell Desktop Manager to check for update. Desktop...

There is no setting that I am aware of. As far as the bridge, I am pretty sure my settings are default, if there are indeed any settings on setup. I just looked and I did not see an edit button.
