do you mean like a 'screen lock'? if so then yes there is.. go onto 'device security' which should be on your main menu, a little padlock icon.. click on that..
it should say

* Password...

This is what my mums phone did.

Try .....

Go on the main menu, click 'options' then 'advanced options' then 'applications' then wait for the applications to load up and find 'blackberry app...
