E-mail counts as data usage, if you're syncing your blackberry over the air with BES that counts as data usage.

If you're doing these things that's why you're being billed for them.

Options --> Advanced Options --> Host Routing Table

Click wheel, and select register now.

Give it 2 minutes and the icons should appear.

Just call up Vodafone and they should get it provisioned over...
