I did not have this problem. Did you change your phone on their website to the 9700 before attempting to add the visual voicemail service?

Yeah I can't get contact sync to work either. It worked great on my Verizon storm 2 but it has a different application for setting up email. On the 8900 it still just launches the browser to login to...

Just got it working.

I am running 5.0.0.314 and I went to mytmobile and changed my current phone setting to 9700.

I then went to add services and checked the FREE visual voicemail option.

TMO bis lets me check the contact sync and save now. I am running 5.0.0.314 on my 8900 but I still can't access the email settings screen that is shown on the blackberry technical guide linked above....

I just downloaded the Enhanced Gmail Plugin after reinitializing my 5 gmail accounts.

It seems pretty cool but I can only use the advanced features if I go into the mailbox icon for each gmail...

I prefer the TMo but I also just recently changed out the bezel to black since the chrome was getting so scratched up from normal wear. It looks pretty sweet in all black with the red number keys....

Also if your router doesn't support QoS, make sure you aren't uploading/downloading any big files or torrents or it will garble your UMA. This happens to me all the time since I don't have QoS.

If you register with BIS through the Email...

If you register with BIS through the Email configuration site you only get one-way sync with the email providers. It is one-way from blackberry to third-party email server..not the other way around.
