I had the same problem - and found this simple solution on a forum:
You will need to log onto facebook from a PC.
1. go to account setting.
2 security
3. uncheck Secure Browsing https

facebook - photos won't display
First, photos on Facebook wouldn't dispaly - profile pictures were just the silhouette and no other photos would display either. Profile pics had a crack across the face of the silhouette. Uploaded...
