Yes, my IT policy has encryption somewhere (I think it encrypts when it auto-locks after 30 mins), but that can't be the issue here. The Podcast app has no problem remembering where it was in file...

No, it's not hidden, and when I disabled "dial from home screen" and hit D, nothing happened. MemoPad seems not to be installed.
