have you removed the metal back from the old screen? There is a metal backing on the original screen that needs to be removed and installed on the new screen.

update.

I downloaded and reinstalled the lastest os from the net. made sure i took out the vendor xml. now the apploader brings up the updated software but when i clcik next, i got a window popup...

Ii am upgrading from 4.7 to 5.0..

I looked for the vendor xml and deleted them. i did a search on my pc to see if there were anymore. Did not find any.

i have a 9530 that was downgraded in error from the latest OS. I want to upgrade it again, but the apploader keeps telling me that i dont have any software...

got it to work. downloaded the latest os. started the app loader and then plugged it in. As soon as it said unknown pin, hit next, the upgraded the os. worked like a charm after that. just to let...

Got a storm today (used). plugged it into my pc.. it halfway boots, shows a white screen. the the screen goes black with red light. then the cycle goes again.puzzled i unplugged it and it boots...

Maybe inside it may dusty and under the keys need to be cleaned. I have had that experience. maybe you can get a techie to have a look.
