Can't you set QL to launch with the Space bar also, I know its kind of a pain with the slide out keyboard, but I think your options are pretty limited.

I've been having the exact same issue right from the beginning. I blame my carrier, but my carrier blames it on how RIM compresses the data stream. I am very curious to see if there is a solution.

Nope. IMO, I don't know if it will ever happen. It may be tricky to have a Swype equivalent for the BB Storm when you have to actually press down the screen to register a button push.
