My wife and I recently adquired a BB Bold 9700 each.
Very nice phone, except that on her phone many times she receives a text message and it won't allow it to be open. Now mine is doing the same...

I also have an HP desktop that has a similar problem. If you click on restart it usually remains on at the end of the cycle but the screen turns off...

I took it apart and according to my limited knowledge, it seems that there is no water damage. I cleaned it real good inside, the stickers are not pink nor red.
It seems to me that it is a rebooting...
