How to disable CONTACT sync on the BES

Is it possible to disable Syncing CONTACTS on the BES? I see under PIM SYNC there is a ADDRESS BOOK area, but is that CONTACTS or the GLOBAL ADDRESS BOOK?

Desktop Manager has Encountered and Problem and will close

I have found this issue to be with my user, a corrupted file on the users calendar, if you watch the Sync while it is running on his, the system will get to 87 or 217 and just hang there for a moment...
