Well I hate to break it to yah ..... but yesterday this phone started working fine. It has data and after uninstalling and re installing the blackberry desktop software the tethering started working...

Tethering is on my plan. when I talk with Tmobile they are telling me that my unlocked blackberry needs to be configured for the tethering, even though my unlocked 9630 works just fine ......

Okay so now my blackberry is working on the Tmobile data plan. I can pull the browser up and it gets web pages.

What I am not able to do is tether my laptop to the phone and get web access.
