I had that problem when i used the blackberry...

I had that problem when i used the blackberry browser alot. I finally just decided to use opera mini. Overall it works better than the browser.

What you can do without the blackberry plan is send recieve sms/mms texts and make calls and snyc it with your pc. Thats all.

ipods also use 3.5mm headphones so they will not work. I just use my earpiece to listen to music on my phone. its only one earbud but it works for me.
