1) Yes, the 8220 has BBM pre loaded on it when you get it. I have updated to the latest version, the phone supports OTA updates and it's easy to do.

laman, to the best of my knowledge there is no way to use one phone in place of the other they as are two two totally different technologies (CDMA vs GSM) and one will not work on the others network....
