Recent version of BBM (5.0+) has built-in ability to save the conversation logs to the SDCard. But if you're running an older version and upgrade, you may lose existing conversations.

A glorious MP3 player? with LogicMail you can still check mail and with opera browser, browse internet when connected to wifi.

And regarding the use as an mp3 player, I have an app that can sync...
