The newer version of the firmware has modified...

The newer version of the firmware has modified the button function as per RIM at the moment so it only locks the screen from being pressed but not password locked. You have to use the onscreen lock...

The upper left is actually the lock/power button....

The upper left is actually the lock/power button. Upper right is the mute button. Holding mute does not put it in Standby like i does on other blackberries like 8900, 8800, 8300s, etc.

So I have an IT policy that locks the device after 20mins I believe. Password requires 7characters. Im fine with this, from a security standpoint.

However looking for some method from 0-20mins...

Are you folks applying this version to your Tmobile BBs? If so this works fine and doesnt jack up the BB in any way? I only have the latest Tmobile one on mine which is 4.1.0.346.
