After months of screwing around with this, I've closed my Sprint account and signed up with Verizon, and I now have a 7250 that supports EVDO, complete with tethering.

workaround

Mine did the same thing..I never figured out how to fix it directly. I just created a voicemail contact in address book and assigned "W" as the hotkey, works fine.

Sprint data fees

Sprint is $45/month for blackberry data service. $20 is for the regular "vision" service. You may have to call Sprint several times before you get a rep who understands the difference.
